Healing in Pieces

And Not All At Once

Gentle grief support for people learning how to live with loss — without timelines, pressure, or forced positivity.

About The Project

Healing in Pieces Project offers grief support for people navigating loss in a way that feels honest and human. There is no “right way” to grieve and no expectation to be okay. This space exists to hold what’s heavy while you figure out how to keep going — healing in pieces and not all at once.

Core Philosophy:

Grief as an Unwanted Companion

At Healing in Pieces Project, I don’t believe grief is something to defeat, erase, or rush away. Grief is more like an unwanted companion — one you never asked for, never invited in, and would give anything to not know so intimately.

Field at Sunset

You didn’t choose this loss. You didn’t choose this pain, but grief showed up anyway.

Instead of fighting it or pretending it isn’t there, this work is about acknowledging grief, learning its presence, and finding a way to live alongside it. Not because it’s fair — but because resisting it often hurts more.

We learn how to hold grief’s hand without letting it take over our lives. How to make space for it without letting it define us. How to carry it in a way that feels survivable, human, and honest.

Healing doesn’t mean grief leaves.

It means learning how to live — even with something you never asked for.

Mission Statement

Healing in Pieces Project exists to walk alongside people in grief with compassion, honesty, and realness. We believe healing doesn’t happen all at once — it comes together in pieces.

Inspired by the life and loss of my sister, Sarah, this work is rooted in lived experience, not theory. Our mission is to create a space where grief is seen for what it is: messy, painful, sometimes even darkly funny — but always human.

Through guidance, tools, and authentic connection, we help people honor their loss, find strength in the struggle, and rebuild their lives piece by piece — just as I continue to do in her memory.
